Every Verified consultant has signed a misfit refund clause as part of the Standard. The BPC Verified Guarantee is the directory putting its own name behind that clause.
What we promise.
If you engaged a Verified consultant after first contacting them through this directory, and you believe the engagement wasn't delivered as scoped, we will:
1. Mediate. We contact the consultant, hear both sides, and work toward the remedy their signed misfit clause requires — including the partial refund path every Verified consultant has committed to for the first 30 days.
2. Re-match you. If the engagement can't be put right, we personally shortlist replacement consultants suited to your situation, at no cost.
3. Act on the listing. Substantiated problems affect the consultant's verification — up to removal from the directory. A pattern of complaints fails the reputation check.
The conditions.
Published in full so there's no fine print to discover later:
- Your first contact with the consultant went through this directory — a contact reveal or a match.
- The consultant was Verified at the time you engaged them.
- You raise it with us within 6 months of the engagement starting.
- You've raised it with the consultant first and given them a fair chance to put it right.
What this is not.
Honesty about the boundary: this is a mediation and re-matching guarantee, not an insurance policy or an indemnity. We are a small independent directory — we don't yet have the balance sheet to underwrite engagements, so we don't pretend to. What we do have is the leverage that matters: every Verified consultant's standing in this directory depends on honouring what they signed.
